2018年8月20日,应澳门威威尼斯棋牌大乐副院长阮新波教授邀请,IEEE Fellow、美国田纳西大学(University of Tennessee, Knoxville,缩写为UTK)Fred Wang教授来我院进行交流访问。
当天上午10:30,在南航江宁校区电气楼学术报告厅,Fred Wang教授做了题为“Power Electronics Research and Education in CURENT: Converters and Systems”的学术报告。会议由澳门威威尼斯棋牌大乐副院长阮新波教授主持,电气系80多名师生参加了学术报告会。Fred Wang教授首先介绍了CURENT 研究中心(Center for Ultra-Wide-Area Resilient Electric Energy Transmission Networks)的研究方向、团队、科研项目等情况。随后,Fred Wang教授介绍了CURENT 研究中心围绕电力电子在“公共电网及分布式能源”、“交通电力系统”两个方向的研究工作,包括可用于电力系统硬件仿真的电力电子模拟器、多端直流输电系统、智能电网、低成本、高可靠性新能源发电与储能、SiC器件的驱动与保护等丰富的研究内容。报告结束后,Fred Wang教授与参会师生针对报告内容进行了热烈讨论,并参观了多电飞机电气系统工信部重点实验室和江苏省新能源发电与电能变换重点实验室。
Fred Wang教授简介: Dr. Fei (Fred) Wang is a professor and Condra Chair of Excellence in Power Electronics at the University of Tennessee. He holds a joint position in Oak Ridge National Lab. He is the Technical Director of CURENT. His experience also includes 8 years as an associate professor and the Technical Director at the Center for Power Electronics at Virginia Tech, and 10 years as an engineer and R&D manager at General Electric. Dr. Wang obtained his BS from Xi’An Jiaotong University, China, MS and PhD from University of Southern California, all in electrical engineering. His interests include power electronics and power systems. He is a fellow of the IEEE and a fellow of the US Academy of Inventors.
